NORTH CHARITY CUP

The North Charity Cup has been developed to recognize participation in various races whose proceeds are donated to philanthropic causes. It is designed to encourage travel between events held in the Huntington Bay and other Long Island Sound venues.

The method in which the Charity Cup will be awarded is as follows: First, boats must qualify for scoring. Boats must race in at least two charitable events, one based in the Huntington Bay area, the other to be sailed in any other Long Island Sound venue.   Notification shall be made to the Fleet Captain of participation in said events.  Races above the qualifying number will be throw-out scores. Secondly, all qualifying boats will then be compared to one another using a percentage of perfection within their individual classes using the Cox Sprague System. The boat with the best percentage of perfection will be the winner, at the discretion of the Lloyd Harbor Yacht Club Regatta Committee.
